Golly, everybody is doing such cool stuff!  Thanks for the various emails from different people, I’m going to get back to everyone individually…

I’m sure that most people have heard, but to catch people up to date, Mary has officially accepted a buyout offer from Canisius (!)

She’s going to *apply* to receive “Emerita” status – this will mean (if granted) that she will still have an office, and access to Canisius, but will not teach or be paid.  So lots more free time for her – and since we think that we can handle it financially, it seems to be a good thing all around.  She had half a semester teaching in the “Age-of-Covid” environment last semester, and felt like most of the things she enjoyed about the job had been replaced by things she didn’t enjoy, so the college looking to cut positions seemed like a good opportunity to exit gracefully 😉

So we’re building a micro-campervan together, giving us the ability to go visit people without risking passing covid around!  It’s very tiny, but should work if people don’t mind us parking in their driveways 😉
