Typically we would have brought in 35 pound pumpkins from Payless, sometimes dried corn, maybe a hay bale. The standard things.
This year we’ve done things a little differently.
These pumpkins are MUCH lighter in weight (for us old people, you know), they fold flat for storage, and can be reused. The tissue paper globe is fastened on a marshmallow roasting stick with two clothes pins
Sprayed the tissue paper with clear Krylon to make them waterproof
The globes are each fitted with a short length of 12V LED tape. Each of the five tissue-paper pumpkins is Tee Tapped to a 12V 18AwG feeder. (Normally hidden behind the brick edgers.)Steve and Janet gifted us the flowers last spring. The flowers have bloomed and bloomed all season! Thank you!
