India sent her wedding announcement today! I’ve grouped it with several emails back to her…… on eighteen06… for your convince in finding the grouping in the future… without the confusing clutter of other incoming mail.
“Hi everyone!! I hope everyone is doing well! I am doing amazing, I’m still in Los Angeles at the moment but I’m planning to move to Pensacola, FL for 3 months in March and then to San Diego indefinitely starting on July 7th. Reason being is because of my partner, Cedric Jackson. He is recently enlisted as active duty in the Navy as a ET (Electronic Tech) and will be completing his training there in Florida, then being stationed in San Diego. He and I have been dating since March and he has changed my life – for the better. He and I met at the Roller Skating rink here in LA, we literally bumped into each other and just started chatting. Initially, I wasn’t really planning to date – nor was he (because of the military) but he was interesting to me and since the first week that I met him he was very adamant about long term and stability. He even called his mom and told her about me that day! I gave him (and myself) a chance and turns out he is one of the most amazing men I have ever met in my life and I would have missed out on someone/something truly amazing and Divine. He is kind, smart, forward thinking, holds me accountable, encourages me and best of all (and amongst so much more) loves me exactly how I am – with no intent to change that. Because of all the things he is, he has inspired me even to be myself even further. Life has been good and I am so grateful. I’m still working at UCLA as a bedside nurse but I’ve been working Information Technology on a special project for the last year doing nursing informatics – deploying new projects and working as the liaison between nursing and the IT folks + mentoring some new grads and helping with the new grad education orientation program. I’ve had an amazing career at UCLA and plan on staying there and commuting since I’m not full time and I make my own schedule. I will be traveling for the holiday on Wednesday, December 18th until January 6thgoing to Chicago (where Cedric is stationed) and then going to Milwaukee – where he’s from- for Christmas and then taking the Amtrak to have New Years and my birthday until he has to report back to base the 4th. We are going to be busy people but I wanted to at least leave this email and some pictures in a movie, because why not? I love and miss you all so much. With love,India”
