Most of you are aware that Mum led the Wabash Weavers Guild (WWG) here in town for 30+ years.
What you may not know, is that in addition, we also started a smaller weaving group six years ago at 1806 Garden. This smaller group is by invitation, and is composed of the more serious weavers in the WWG.
This smaller group means that everyone is within a few feet of each other, making communication considerably more in-depth than can be accomplished with the group of 35 in WWG. In the large-size group, people are often 15-20ft from each other, and private discussions start up, leading to missed info. Passed-around woven articles get to any one person way after the weaver explained them… and another weaver is already explaining his/her own article. Confusing.
The following photos show a recent meeting @ 1806… just to give you a feel for the more communication-friendly setting.
